Inspired by Pinterest

I joined Pinterest a while back and if you know what Pinterest is, then you know how addicting it can be!!

I saw a pic of a letter that was wrapped in twine. I thought to myself: "I can make that"!! And I did just that. In fact, I've made 3 since then!! Here are some pics of the last two I made. Let me know what you think!!

Throwback Thursday-Retired cartridge

It's Throwback Thursday again over on the My Creative Time blog with Emma!!  Her challenge this week is to create a project using any "retired" cartridge.  A list of the retired cartridges can be found HERE.

Out of all the retired cartridges I think I have about 4 of them...I chose to use the Serenade cartridge!!  I used one of the tree cuts to create a "Fall" themed card.  Again, this is a 5x5 card (can't get enough of them)!!  I inked the orange ribbon to give it a more rustic color because it was bright orange.  The sentiment was printed from my computer and I added a little bling in a dingy yellow color.  I am sooo ready for Fall!! Let me know what you think!!

Cricut Cartridge Chaos Challenge #27/Throwback Thursday #223

Hi again!!

Paula from More Than Favors is hosting the CCCC Challenge #27 this week...The challenge is to create a project using the Winter Woodland cartridge...This challenge lets me get a head start on my holiday cards!!!

And Emma at My Creative Time is have another Throwback Thursday challenge.  Her challenge is to create a project using any older cartridge using a Christmas Theme and use material somewhere on the project.  Ribbon is considered material, right?

This is a 5x5 card...I am addicted to making this size card!! Not sure why but I just love how they look!!  I used one of the house cuts and added stickles to accent the snow.  I printed the sentiment from my computer and used a ticket punch to punch it out.  I added the coordinating ribbon along with the bling.  I think it turned out great!!

Here is my card:

Cricut Cartridge Chaos Challenge #25

I'm back with another challenge entry!!

This Wacky Wednesday is hosted by Paula from More Than Favors.  The challenge is to create a project using the Sweethearts cartridge...Well, I don't own this cartridge. So, I found this damask on the Stamping cartridge...I thought it would look great on a wedding card!!

This is my first attempt at a wedding card!  I added the skittles to the damask to add some dimension to it!  The sentiment is from the My Pink Stamper "Happiest Moments" stamp set!!  I think it turned out great!

Wacky Wednesday #45-Cricutless Challenge

Hi Again!!

It's time for another Wacky Wednesday challenge over at More Than Favors.  This weeks challenge is to create a project "Old School Style", with NO CRICUT!!  Gasp!!! It's harder than you think!!!

My Pink Stamper Design Team Call Entry

How excting!! Robyn over at My Pink Stamper is having accepting entries for her latest design team call!!!

The challenge is to create a Cricut project using the colors orange, turquoise, green, and brown!! I thought this would be a hard challenge but I went to my craft room and started looking through my paper!! I found my DCWV Citrus Stack!! Love this paper!! The only color it didn't have in it was "BROWN". But we all know what our favorite brown color is that goes with everything, right? Craft cardstock, of course!! So I used the craft cardstock as my base and a few accents in the page...

I just received the Create-A-Critter in the mail today!! And of course I was dying to use it!!  So I decided to use the little sun and the sentiment to go along with it...Love how my layout turned out!!

Here is my entry...

Recipe:

base of layout: 12x12 craft cardstock
All patterened paper: DCWV Citrus Stack
Border punches
Create-A-Critter: Sun and "Sunny Days" sentiment
Prima flowers with Bling
Stickles for even more bling :)
Journaling stamp and turquoise ink

Hope you like my layout and wish me luck!!!

Peek-A-Boo Layout

I'm back today with another scrapbook layout!!  I am just a little behind on my scrapbooking.  Not too behind but I still have several pages to do to get caught up!

I took these pics of my girls playing at the park back in May...They were peeking through the holes in the tunnel and I captured some really cute shots!!

This is a bit of a different layout for me...As I said in my previous post, I recently purchased the Page Maps 2 book!  It was a very good purchase!!!! I love that book....You never run out of ideas!

Here is a pic of the layout I created...

Father's Day Layout

Hello Again!!

I'm back to day with a scrapbook layout!!  I love scrapbooking!  And I recently purchased the Page Maps book! And let me tell you, I LOVE IT!!! It comes with these notecards that you can tear out sketches and they are right at your finger tips!!  I used one of the sketches for this page.  I love how it turned out!!

This layout is of a picture taken of my hubby and our two daughters on Father's Day!! For the notebook paper, I just used my cropadile to add home and distressed it a little to make it look torn out of a notebook...Hope you enjoy!!

I am entering this layout in the Cricut Cartridge Choas Challenge over at the Tattered Time blog!  Since I don't own the Don Juan cart, I used the Plantin Schoolbook cart for the tag and the little hearts.

Hello Everyone!!

Well, it has been awhile since I've posted...But I'm back and hopefully I can get back in the swing of things!! :)

Emma from My Creative Time posted her latest Throwback Thursday Challenge last Thursday.  I needed to make a birthday card for my friends daughter who is turning 3...The challenge is to create a project of your choice and it has to include BLING!!

For this card, I created a 5x5 card. The papers I used are from the My Mind's Eye "Quite Contrary" collection.  I used the giraffe from the Birthday Bash Cricut cartridge.  And then added twine and stickles for my "BLING".

I hope she love the card...It's almost as cute as she is!!!!!

Throwback Thursday "Green and Yellow"

Hi Again!!

I know its been what seems like forever since I've posted a project, so I thought I'd make a birthday card for my Dad using the challenge for Emma's Throwback Thursday Challenge.  The challenge is to create a project using the colors "green" and "yellow". And using an older cricut cart!!

For this card I kept it pretty simple.  I used the Plantin Schoolbook cartridge for the hearts.  I figured since is was for my Dad I could get away with using hearts!!! :)

Thanks for stopping by!!!

My Pink Stamper-NSD Challenge #8

Okay I had to skip posting challenge #6 for now...My pic kept posting sideways!! Can't figure it out!! I wrill try again later...To join in on the fun go to My Pink Stamper

But anyway we are now on challenge #8 (Summer themed project)

The ice cream is from Stretch Your Imagination!! And i added some stickles to the cherry (after pic was taken)

Sorry the pic isn't the greatest quality...

My Pink Stamper-NSD Challenge #7

Now we are on to challenge #7 over at My Pink Stamper!! The challenge is to make a scrapbook layout!!  My first love was scrapbooking!!  This is a great challenge because it allows everyone to get a little more caught up on their layouts!!

I used Live Simply cartridge on this layout.  I love how it turned out!!

My Pink Stamper-NSD-Challenge #5

The next challenge at My Pink Stamper is to create any 3-D item...For this challenge I decided to make a banner for my daughters birthday party!  She will be 2 in exactly two months!!  She loves Dora so we are doing that theme along with pink and purple as accent colors.  I have been meaning to make this banner and have just been putting it off!! So when I saw the #5 challenge was a 3-D item I thought this would be the perfect opportunity to get this checked off my to do list!!

Th scallop circles came from the Winter Woodland cartridge and I used the Mickey Font cartridge for the letter to spell out her name.  The circles with Dora on them are actually napkins that I laminated so I could cut circles out of them on my Cricut.  That was hubby's idea!!  They kept tearing when I tried to cut them out because they are so thin!! I knew he was good for something!! lol

Hope you like what I did!!

My Pink Stamper-NSD-Challenge #4

This hours challenge at My Pink Stamper is to make something with a Mother's Day theme.

I created this card using my Gypsy...I used some vanilla colored cardstock for the base and some pearlescent but for the layer and border on the bottom of the card.  Thanks for stopping by!!

My Pink Stamper-NSD-Challenge #3

We are moving on to challenge #3 at My Pink Stamper!  The next challenge is to create a project with a breast cancer theme.  I used the Twinkle Toes cartridge for the flowers on the card and added some bling in the middle of them.  I don't have any breast cancer themed cartridges, so I created my own with some ribbon.  Then I added the sentiment "Girl Power" using the Pink-a-licious stamp set from My Pink Stamper!!

My Pink Stamper-NSD-Challenge #2

I'm back!!  I'm having a blast doing these My Pink Stamper challenges!!  So challenge #2 is to create a card or scrapbook page using Kraft cardstock...I chose to make a scrapbook page.

I used the DCWV "Playtime" stack!  This stack is printed on kraft cardstock!!  I love it! It's so cute!!  I cut the "Play" title from the Live Simply cartridge.  I plan on adding some pics of my daughter play at the park when I get them printed off.

Here it is:
Sorry the pic is sideways...I took it with my iphone and can't figure out how to flip it!! lol

My Pink Stamper-NSD-Challenge #1

Today is National Scrapbook Day!!! Yay! What fun?!  Robyn from My Pink Stamper is having challenges all day!! The first challenge is something "CUPCAKE"!

Here is what I came up with!!  The cupcake is from the Once Upon a Princess cartridge.  Enjoy!! and I will be back with more in a bit!!

The challenge is to create a scrapbook using "ANY" Lite cartridge!  My girls love dancing around the house together.  I got some really cute pics of them being silly!!  For this layout, I used the "Twinkle Toes" Lite Cart...I love this cart...It's sooo cute.

For this hop, we were asked to create a project that “tricks the eye”.  I decided to create an Explosion Box...I have been wanting to try making one for quite some time, so I thought it would fit perfectly with the blog hop!!   At first it looks like a cute gift box but when you take the lid off, the inside explodes with color and pictures!!

For this explosion box I used the video tutorial HERE!!  I used the Blossoms and Butterflies stack from DCWV...It's an old stack but I found it for 4.99 at Ross and loved it!!  I haven't added any pictures yet but I will probably put some cute Easter picture of my girls in it!!

If your interested in making one of your own...Please click on the link above...She explains it way better than I could!!

I followed the video tutorial and just added some embellishments such as: prima flowers, brads, bling, ribbon, and lets not forget STICKLES!!!
