Embossed Card

Ok...It's been a while...but I'm back with a new embossed card. This was my first time embossing. After watching all kinds of embossing videos on youtube, I went to Wal-Mart and bought a heat gun for $20 and some embossing powder. Let me just say that "Now I'm addicted! lol. I love the effect that embossing gives! It's like magic! And the possibilities are endless. The tree stamp I used was from Hero Arts.
I'm still working on the invites for my nieces' birthday party and will post them as soon as I'm finished. Thanks for visiting!

Just an update...

I haven't posted any projects in a few days, so I thought I would just give an update on what I am currently working on. My neice is turning 6 in about a month and I am in the process of making her birthday invites. I'm pretty excited about making them. I have 30 to make, so it will take a while. I will post a pic as soon as I'm finished!!! Have a great day!!!

Yet another VERY cute hairbow holder :)

I love the color combination of pink and brown!! I decided to make my 9 month old (who has yet to have any hair, lol) a hairbow holder for her room. I bought the wooden shape from the Dollar Tree and painted it pink. Then used my Cricut to cut the "M" out of contact paper (to use as a stencil). Then painted in the letter in brown. Finally, I added the Prima flowers and the hanger and streamers! It turned out sooo pretty!

You're Purr-fect...

Good Morning,
Here is a little kitty card I made yesterday...The cat was cut from the Doodlecharms cartridge, once again!! I didn't make this card for any special reason, just wanted to use this cut and the "You're Purr-fect" stamp I picked up at Micheal's recently. I thought it turned out Purr-fect, lol! Have a great day!!

Cute Butterfly Card

It's me again!! I have another cute card to share with everyone. This butterfly was cut from the Doodlecharms cartridge. I know I'm wearing this cartridge out, but there are some super cute cuts on it...I think I love them all!! I embossed the purple matte with my cuttlebug (can't remember the folder name, I just got it yesterday at Hobby Lobby. It was on clearance for like $2.99. Can't beat that!) And just added some coordinating patterned paper at the bottom. Then I used the cheater method to attach the ribbon. I also used pink stickles to add the eyes, smile, and antennas! This card is very springy and pretty! Hope you enjoy! More to come very soon!

April Showers

Hello!
I hope everyone is having a great Thursday!! Last night I put the girls to bed and had a little "me time" with my Cricut!! lol I thought this little girl was so cute! She was cut from the Once Upon a Princess cartridge. I cut her at 3 1/2 inches. It took a while to put her together because there were several teeny pieces ,like her buttons. I thought she turned out adorable. I still need to find the perfect sentiment to add to the card. Any suggestions? I used the Swiss Dots Cuttlebug folder on the pink background paper. I though it kind of looked like rain. I have several more cards to share with in the next few days, so stay tuned!!

Once Upon a Rainbow...

I could not wait to use my Once Upon a Princess cartirdge. I put the girls down for a nap and got busy!! I used the rainbow cut at 5 in. The border was punched with my Fiskars border punch. For the clouds, I used an iradescent cardstock. I filled in the eyes with purple Stickles and then finished off the "girl" cloud with a purple Prima flower and a purple brad. I really like this cartridge...Can't wait to make more girly things with it!!!

Once Upon a Princess...

I just got the Once Upon a Princess cartridge from Micheals!!! I cannot wait for naptime so I can make something really cute! Come on kiddies...Time to NAP!!! lol Have a great Sunday!!!

My little brother is currently serving a tour in Iraq. I made this card and envelope to send to him. The stars were cut from the Plantin Schoolbook cartridge. The "missing you" was cut from the Stamping cartridge. Hopefully this card with brighten my brothers day and let him know just how much we miss him and can't wait for his safe return!!

Oh Baby!!

Finally, I made a baby card! I have been wanting to make make a sweet baby card. This card will go with the hairbow holder I made for baby Rylee (below). I think I'm addicted to making cards now! Someone help me, lol! The little carriage was cut using the Stretch Your Imagination cricut cartridge. And the "Oh Baby" was cut using the Stamping cartridge. I used a corner punch (can't remember the name) to adorn the corners. Hope you have a great day!

Another Hairbow Holder

Here is another cute Hairbow Holder. I made this one for a couple that has a baby girl on the way!! Her name will be Rylee. I bought the wooden oval from the Dollar Tree! Can't beat that, huh? The ribbon came from Wal-Mart. I used my Cricut to cut her name and flowers using the Plantin Schoolbook cartridge. I just used contact paper as a stencil and painted it in! And just hot glued the ribbon for the hanger and streamers. I think it turned out so cute!

Happy Happy Birthday

Here are a few more birthday cards I made last night!! I felt really inspired last night and made 3 in one night! They all have the same color scheme. The solid cardstock is from Wal-Mart and the patterned paper is from a K & Company matte stack, also from Wal-Mart. The cupcakes, ladybug, and flowers were cut from the Doodlecharms Cricut cartridge. I had alot of fun making these cards. Can't wait to make more!

This sweet castle card was made using the Doodlecharms cartridge. I used Stickles to outline the castle. I used the swirls Cuttlebug folder to emboss the bottom cardstock. I love how this card turned out!
