"Glamping" Themed Party

Hi everyone!!

A few weeks ago I was asked to make some "glamping" themed party decorations. I immediately fell in love with this theme! In fact, I love it so much that I'm totally gonna use it for one of my daughters' birthday theme next year!

I just finished the items today so here are a few pics of the finished products. I made a banner, a sign, and some cupcake toppers. I love how they turned out!! (All items were inspired by pins from Pinterest)

Planner Gifts and Hand Made Zipper Pouch

With all this planner craze I've been into lately, my almost 10 year old niece has began getting interested in my planner. She told me she wanted a planner and things to go with it for her upcoming birthday. So of course I was like "heck yes, I will get you a planner"!

I found this one at Barnes and Noble for around $10. It's small and super cute!!  I've been making little zipper pouches with the dies from Papertrey Ink, so I made her one to match her planner. I am also gathering up other supplies for her like Washi tape, colored pens, and stickers. I sure hope she loves her gift. I've had a great time gathering everything for her :)

Here's a pic of the planner and zipper pouch:

My New Obsession!

Yes, I know!! It's been nearly a year since I've posted anything at all. Truth is, I'm just busy! And when I'm not busy I'm too tired to do anything. Lol.

Well in my venture to try and just keep up with everyday life with my family and job, I've discovered the world of planners! I've almost always used a planner. But mostly for just bills and important dates. My discoveries have found the there is a huge community of planners out there. They have great ideas and awesome a planners.

So I went and bought a planner!  Just a cheap one on clearance at WalMart. And let me tell you, I'm hooked!! I now get so much more done in a days time than I ever thought I would. Just having a central spot to jot down my ideas and thoughts so I don't forget later is great to have. I plan out chores, meals, grocery lists, important dates, and just about anything else that comes to mind.

Here are a few pics of my planner pages and some goodies I bought to decorate with.:)
I'm having lots if fun with my new hobby and creative outlet. Along with how much more I'm getting accomplished.

I will keep sharing in the near future!

Pinterest Inspired Wreath

I've been on Pinterest a lot lately and I was inspired to make a new wreath. I bought a grapevine wreath form at a yard sale for only $1. Then I headed to Hobby Lobby. I knew I wanted burlap on it so I found 3 different rolls of burlap. One was natural colored, one was a cream color and the other was natural/white chevron.

I made 5 different ribbon flowers from the burlap. They are very easy to make. Then I added some buttons from my Grandmothers button stash that she handed down to me. Then I glued the rosettes on the wreath from. Lastly, I just wrapped some jute twine around the opposing side and voila!  I was done!

Clever Barrettes!

Papertrey Ink recently released a set of dies called Clever Barrettes. These dies make it super easy to make a felt or fabric covered snap clip. Lets just say I'm kind of addicted to making these hair clips now!! Here is a pic of the latest barrettes I have made. I made these for my niece for Easter.
