Happy Bee-Day

Hi again!!

Sorry for my absence this month!!  With the holidays I've just been busy!! I've been doing a little crafting but not much posting.

So anyway, my sister-in-laws birthday is next week and I made her this cute card.  I received the bumble bee cut from a cut swap I participated in.  I think it is from the Walk in My Garden cart.  I embossed the pink paper with the Divine Swirls cuttlebug folder.  And also added stickles to the bees wings.  I think it turned out cute and I hope my sister-in-law likes it!!

I am going to try better at keeping my projects posted!! :)

Personalized Name Plaque

Hello Again!!

So now that it's December, everyone is thinking about Christmas!!!  It's coming and coming fast!!  This year has flew by!! But bring on the New Year!!

My friend asked me to make 3 name plaques for her to give as Christmas gifts...On one of them she wanted a hot pink/zebra theme and this is what I came up with...I think it turned out WAY cute!!  She also wanted so matching hair bows, so I just clipped them on for display...

For the other two name plaques she told me just to do whatever I wanted!! :)

I found the wooden plaques at Hobby Lobby for $1.47 each and just measured and cut scrapbook paper and used Mod Podge to adhere it to the plaque.  For the name letter I used my Cricut to cut them out and then also used the Mod Podge to adhere them too.  After that dried, I sprayed them all with a sealer.  Then attached the ribbon and that was it!!  A quick and very cute gift.  Completely personalized!!!

Thanks for stopping by!!

"Give Thanks" Banner

Hello Everyone!!

I fell in love with some of the banners that were displayed in the recent Banner Blog Hop!!  I had to make my own!!

The process of making one of these took a while for me as it was my first time!  But I am totally hooked now, lol!  They are so fun to make...

For my banner I used several different cartridges.  The tag shape was from TBBM, the letters are from Plantin Schoolbook and the swirls are from Gypsy Wanderings.  I bought a pack of fall colored flowers at Hobby Lobby to add some dimension to the banner.  To string the banner, I used Hemp cord from Wal-Mart...Enjoy and let me know what you think!!

Hi Everyone!!

Well it's Friday and Emma posted her Throwback Thursday Challenge yesterday...The challenge this week is to create an animal themed project!

I made a card for this challenge.  The little frog is from the Live Simply cartridge!  Not sure if a frog classifies as and animal or not but I went with it!  The little frog to too cute, don't ya think?  I used a border punch and some ribbon, along with the "Sale Sign" punch and "Best Wishes" stamp...I was pretty pleased with how it turned out!  And the googly eyes give the frog some personality!!

My Pink Stamper Challenge- Bird

Here I go again!!!

There are sooo many challenges today!!!  I couldn't resist entering them all!!

This card is for the My Pink Stamper challenge.  The only directions she gave was create a project using a bird!!  That's it!  And this is what I came up with!!

The little birdie is from the Live Simply cricut cart.  The patterned paper is from Heidi Grace (I just got it today at Big Lots, along with the pink textured cardstock, which is Bazzil!!)  I was at Michaels a few weeks ago and found this pink ribbon.  Let me just say that I love it!  It is felt!!!  I couldn't wait to get to use and I finally got the chance!  The Happy Birthday is heat embossed. I added the stitching and a little bling for the eye. This is such a TWEET card, lol!  I couldn't resist!!

Thanks for putting up with ALL my posts today...I've just been in a crafting mood lately!! :)

Crafting with Christina-Companion Challenge - Falling for Fall

Ok, I'm back again!!  :)

Cristina from Crafting with Cristina is having another Companion Challenge.  This weeks challenge was to create a fall card or project using the colors red, orange, and yellow and it must also include leaves.  The paper I used is from the Autumn Spendor stack by DCWV.  The glitter apple cutout was also from that stack.  I just cut it out and popped it up on the card.  I also used some brown and red grosgrain ribbon.  And on top of that I placed some coordinating buttons with cording knotted in them.  I love how this card turned out!!  I just love fall and all the colors!!  And it is perfect for FALL!!!

Throwback Thursday Challenge - "Old School Style"

Hello Everyone!!  Happy Fall!

I hope everyone is doing great!!  Fall is here, although it is still very hot!!!  I won't be long before Halloween!!  For this post, I entered Emma's Throwback Thursday Challenge...The challenge was to create a card without using the Cricut using patterned paper!!  Well I have only been into card making for about 6 months so I have never HAD to make a card without my handy Cricut!!  I was a bit of a challenge just thinking up something.  But I have Halloween sticker pad and I just picked a cute sticker from it!!!  I used some patterned paper that I got from Hobby Lobby, added the "Happy Halloween" sticker on a matte, added a little ribbon and I was done!!

Although it was a bit of a challenge, it was nice not having to look for ideas on all my carts!!  Think it turned out cute!!

Thanks for stopping by!!

Throwback Thursday Challenge-Spider Card

I'm back today with my entry for Emma's Throwback Thursday Challenge!  The only rules were to used an older cartridge of your choice!!  I used the Paper Doll Dress Up cartridge for this card.  The little spider is just too cute.  I love this cartridge because you don't have to use the dolls on it!  There are so many other images that can be used alone!  I used the K & Company Spooktacular paper stack, along with the purple polka dot paper from Hobby Lobby.  I added the googly eyes to the spider! Doesn't he just look adorable...Finally, I used my white gel pen to outline his smile lines!

Have a great day!!

Halloween Hairbows!!

Hi Everyone!!

Fall is in the air!!  I've been thinking alot about Halloween lately.  And my sis-in-law asked me to make a hair bow for her little girl for Halloween.  So I jumped all over it! lol  I have two little girls of my own and I LOVE making hair bows!  Here is what I came up with!  Hope you like them!

I usually post cards but since my blog name does include "PIGTAILS", I like to include some different posts every now and then! My next Halloween venture is "trying" to make personalized trick-or-treat bags using the" freezer paper" method. I will try to do a tutorial post on it!! I bought the materials I need yesterday and have been itching to get started, but couldn't find the time today...So hopefully I can have that up within the next week or so!!!

Live Simply card...Cute deer!!

Hello Everyone!

I hope everyone is enjoying a great Sunday!!  Me and my girls are having a great day at home!!  Just enjoying being at home together!

This cutie of a card was made using the Live Simply Lite cartridge...I didn't make this card for anyone particular but I love!  I felt really inspired today for some reason and this is what I came up with.  Both the frame and fawn are from the Live Simply cart.  The green mat for the frame was embossed with the Bloom Dots cuttlebug folder. I used my White Sakura gel pen to add the stitching and dots, and also to add the white parts of the fawns eye.  I have had this cartridge for a while and never really used it but there are some great little critters on it.  I will definitely be using it more often!!
